A look behind the scenes, where most of the gesturing, crossing out and rewriting happens. We mostly laugh, sometimes argue about colours and almost always stay an hour longer than planned. Otherwise it would not be any fun.
I studied at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague (UMPRUM) and I am the founder of SMYK, a platform that presents a new generation of designers. I have worked at leading studios at home and abroad, including Side 2 in the Czech Republic and Studio Lava in Amsterdam. In my projects I focus on building strategies for strong brands, connecting visual identities with motion design and finding new ways to push the boundaries of graphic design.

Hot Pot Studio
A studio focused on branding and visual identities. We design dynamic identities and visual systems that let a brand grow and change without losing its character. We also build custom tools for our clients, so they can easily work with their identity themselves. Every project starts with strategy: first we look for what truly sets the brand apart, and only then do we work out how it will look. The result is a brand that genuinely stands out on the market and that people remember.
SMYK
A Czechoslovak creative platform that gives space to the new generation of visual communication. We introduce students and emerging designers alongside established studios and open a debate about how design really comes about, including the processes, mistakes and decisions that are not usually talked about. We organise lectures and meetups, record a podcast with Czech and Slovak creators, and connect students, schools, studios and the public. We select carefully and build on openness and quality.
